Obituary

Marjorie R. Green, 88, of Walton passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loved ones in Walton.

Marjorie was born February 15, 1925 in Walton the daughter of the late Olin and Susan (Bowker) McClenon. She married Claude Green on July 11, 1942 in Downsville, NY.

Marjorie was a homemaker. She enjoyed tropical fish, and going on car rides. She was a member of the Catskill-Foothills Bowling Association. She also bowled in several Walton Bowling Leagues. Her other interests included reading, collecting her teapots, and gardening. She was especially proud of her pansies.

Marjorie is survived by her loving family, her children, John (Laura) Green, Jamie (Carla) Green, Claudia Smith, Carole Eckert, Alana Benson, Shirley (Kevin) Brown, Stacy (William) Dean, all of Walton; Sande (William) Paul of Lockport; her daughter in law Cheryl Green of Walton; her grandchildren, Chuck, Gregg, Danny, Savannah, Austin, J.T., Linda, Doris, Mark, Tina, Tonya (Kalei), Teddy, Jim (Bernice), Adam, Joshua, Heather (Justin), Nathaniel (Amanda), Heidi, Sarah, Peter (Tammy), Ben, Dylan, Derek, Tyler, Lori (Jeff), Denise (Torrin), Thomas (Cody), Blake, Millard (Karen); several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sisters Marian Cole of Walton; Arlene Choate of Hamden; Ramona Wood of Walton; her special family Ruby Kilmer, Betty Johnston, Roger Kilmer, Ted Kilmer, and several nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Claude Green, her son Marcus Green, her daughter Dixie Green, and her brothers, Olin and Arnold McClenon, and her sons in law Daniel Smith, Leonard Eckert, and Walter Benson.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Riverside Alliance Church, 110 Stockton Avenue, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM, with Pastor Kelvin McKnight, officiating. Burial will be held in the Walton Cemetery.
