Obituary

Martha Hendrickson, 73, of Walton passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at home, following a long illness.

Martha was born on December 10, 1942 the daughter of the late George B. and Lois (Van Mater) Morgan, Sr. She was married to John L. Hendrickson.

Martha worked as an Office Manager for many years for Walton Farm Supply. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Walton where she was very active holding several positions such as Church Treasurer, Head of Admissions, Auditor of the Books, and in charge of the Memorial Celebration Fund. She participated in United Methodist Women, Bible Studies, Counter of the Offering, and was in charge of setting up for Communion. She enjoyed boating (especially on the Erie Canal), keeping her house and mowing the lawn and she made a great apple pie. Martha treasured time with her friends and family.

Martha is survived by her loving family, her husband John "Jack" Hendrickson, daughter, Melissa (Ken) Maguire of High Falls, Margaret Loucks and fiancé, Charles Mundry of Fairport, stepchildren, Garry (Cyndi) Hendrickson of Franklin, Stephen Hendrickson of Walton, Jacquelynn (Gary) Brooks of Walton, grandchildren, Thomas I. Dugan, Katelynn H. Brooks, David W. Brooks, special cousin, Rosalie Northrup, brothers, Christopher (Sylvia) Morgan of Walton, John (Candace) Morgan of Marco Island, FL, sister in law, Linda Morgan, special friend, Diana Sinistore, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, George B. Morgan.

A graveside service, at Walton cemetery, will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
