Marvin "Tom" Tyrrell, Jr., age 74, of 420 Rockland Rd., Colchester died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Roscoe Community Nursing Home of Roscoe, NY. Mr. Tyrrell was born March 17, 1935 in Walton, NY. He is the son of the late Marvin and the late Augusta (Gavette) Tyrrell Sr.. He married the former SharonCranston on May 22, 1995 at Walton. He proudly serve his country in the US Army during 1955-57. He self employed as a Carpenter in the Walton area for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR and was a big fan of both Dale Ernhardt Sr. and Dale Ernhardt Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, a stepdaughter, Laurel Austin, 5 grandaughters, Samantha, Ashley, Brooke, Alyssa and Vanessa, 2 sisters, Nellie Levoy and Marvlyn (Edward) Heil, both of Bainbridge, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held 3:30 pm on Wednesday, February 24 at Roscoe Nursing Home, 420 Rockland Rd., Roscoe. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery in the spring.
