Mary B. Galley, 97, of Cortland passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin, NY following a long illness.

Mary was born on November 5, 1913 in Masonville, NY; the daughter of the late Haswell and Harriet (Lyon) Brundage. On April 6, 1934 she married Merrill R. Galley. He died on October 8, 1997

She was employed for many years by Cresent Corsett Co., Cortland, NY. She was a former member of the First Methodist Church in Walton.

Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews, Connie (Russell) Potter of Cortland, NY; June (Mark) Davis of CA; Gary (Cher) Brundage of Rockdale, NY; Carolee Moore of Lee, MA; Earl (Marlene) Brundage of Rochester, NY, her sister in law, Bonnie Brundage of New Berlin, NY; and several cousins..

Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Maurice and Ralph Brundage, her nephews, Dennis and Wayne Brundage, and her nieces, Georgeen Hanson and Mary Hawkins.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2011 from 1 to 2PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY where services will be held at 2PM with the Rev. Jeff McLallen officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
