IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary A.
Gray
August 17, 1915 – January 8, 2009
Mary DelRegno Gray went Home to The Lord on January 8, 2009, she was 93 years young.
On August 17, 1915 she was born Sabbatina Mario Antonia DelRegno to Charles DelRegno & Josephine Carfora DelRegno in Nyack New York.
She married Ralph Arthur Gray on April 20, 1956 in Northvale New Jersey.
Mary & Ralph were married 48 loving years until his passing on January 8, 2004.
Mary was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, Ida DelRegno 2004, Madeline DelRegno Spector Quackenbush 2001,
George DelRegno 1996, Andrew DelRegno 1990 and Victor "Bicky" DelRegno who was killed in the Battle if the Bulge in 1945.
Mary was born & raised in Nyack NY, she worked many years at Bouton's Stationary in Pearl River NY and at Weinsteins in New York City. She was an accomplished seamstress and went on to make clothing for all she knew. She married the love of her life, Ralph Gray in 1956.
As a couple Mary & Ralph were the proprietors of The Blue Hill Lodge in Claryville N.Y. for many years. Mary & Ralph moved on to Ralph's
hometown of Walton N.Y. where they opened R&M Liquors. Mary and Ralph spent their golden years traveling in their camper, across country to Ralph's sister Frieda's in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; usually accompanied by Mary's sister Madeline
and her husband Jim. There are many stories of their adventures along the way. Mary lived a long and historic life that she shared with all that she came in contact with. Mary was a kind and loving human being who spread her philosophy of a happy life to all she encountered,
from the man with the beautiful voice at Mass to the children playing in the streets.
Although Mary and Ralph had no children of their own, Mary was truly blessed with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and God Children and their beloved dog, Pierre.
Mary was an avid gardener, animal lover and accomplished seamstress.
She was an active member in many of Walton's organizations: the American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens Club, St. John the Baptist Church and a Sister of the Red Hat Society.
As per Mary's wishes there will be no calling hours at this time. A Mass at St. John The Baptist Church in Walton; and commital at Walton Cemetery will be held in the Spring of 2009.
