Mary Jane Mehegan, 81, a long-time resident of Walton, NY, went home to be with our Lord on July 31, 2024. She was residing at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center since December 23, 2021.

Calling hours will be held Monday August 5, 2024, 5PM- 7PM with Father Golding Officiating a Prayer Service at Courtney Funeral Home located at 25 Townsend Street, Walton, NY.

Funeral Service will be held at Courtney Funeral Home Tuesday August 6, 2024, at 11 AM with Reverend David Wickins of Glen Castle United Methodist Church officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Walton Cemetery located at 55 Fancher Ave, Walton, NY.

Mary Jane was born In Walton. NY on April 29, 1943, to Basil and Gertrude Tennant. Mary Jane retired from Fox Hospital after years of service in the sterilization department. Mary Jane Enjoyed gardening, needle point, spending time with her family and friends, and caring for her dogs and cats over the years.

Mary Jane was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and donated to many charitable organizations regularly.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, of 36 years, William (Bill) Mehegan, brothers Basil, George, John and twin brother Willie Tennant. Also, by her sister Caroline (Quick).

Mary Jane is survived by her brothers Mike, Walter, Jerry, and Robert Tennant. She is survived by her sisters Gloria (Vrendenburgh), Sally (Frink) and Barb (Utter). Also, by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all the love and care Mary Jane received while she was there.
