Obituary

Mary J. Neale, 83, of Walton passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on September 22, 1932 in Walton the daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Conklin) Hoyt. On March 23, 1950 she married Harold A. Neale in Sparrowbush, NY. He predeceased her on February 1, 1986.

Mary was a bookkeeper for Tweedie Auction Barn and Scott Machine for many years before retiring. She was a member of the DVH Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved music and dancing, snowmobiling with "Dad", bowling, playing pinochle, BINGO, reading, and buying lottery tickets and also visiting with her other family down at TA's. Mary will be remembered as a kind lady with an inner strength, who always had the prettiest smile for everyone especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving family, her children, Catherine (Allan "Tink") Reynolds of Walton Harold "Butch" (Judy) Neale, Jr. of Walton; Gerald Neale of GA; Timothy (Kimberly) Neale of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Valentine, Jason and Michelle Reynolds, Angie and Kelly Neale, Gale and Erin Neale; Seth Reynolds, Kyle and Shelly Neale, Brandi Neale and Chris Mayville, Cory Neale, Alexandria Reynolds, great grandchildren, Alex, Aiden, Brock, Ryan, Mallory, Madison, Callan, Tanner, Olivia, Coulter. Brothers, William and Douglas Hoyt, sisters, Grace (James) Wright of Sidney Center; Martha Stanton of Walton; special friend, Eleanor Donnelly of Hamden, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by grandson, Ryan, great grandson, Danny, brothers, Charles "Chuck" Hoyt, Paul J. Hoyt, and sister, Evelyn Finch, sister-in-law Deany Hoyt and brother-in-law Clifford Stanton.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 11AM to 1PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery in the spring.
