Mary Radeker, 96, longtime resident of Walton, passed away at the home of her daughter, Sandy, Saturday, January 31, 2015, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on July 18, 1918 in Long Eddy, the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Katus) Watson. She married Barney Radeker on November 28, 1940. He died on December 6, 1988.

Mary was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Walton, VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at the A&P for many years before joining her husband in the funeral and furniture business at Lyon Bro. Mary was known for her beautiful flower gardens and her volunteer work in her community. She also enjoyed working on the election board and playing pinochle.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sime, Trumbull, CT; Joyce and Gary Cook of Clifton Park, NY; grandson, James M. Cook; sisters, Margaret and Donald Barriger, Walton; Dianna and Charles Klein, Binghamton; brother, William Watson, Walton; sister in law, Frances Watson, Walton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Joseph and Stephen.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., and Walton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday morning at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17 Benton Ave., Walton, with the Rev. Edward J. Golding, officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:30PM at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton.
