Michael D. Brown, 51, of Walton passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, following a long struggle with ALS.

Michael was born on April 11, 1972 in Oneonta, NY the son of Orea "Jerry. and Thelma (Tweedie) Brown. He was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1990. On October 1, 2016 he married the former Wendy Hale.

Michael was a Clerk for Al's Sports Center in Downsville for many years. He was a member of the ALS Association.

Michael enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and tinkering in the garage.

Michael is survived by his loving family, wife, Wendy, mother, Thelma Brown of Walton, brother, Daniel (Angela) Brown, niece, Nicole, God daughter, Mikayla, grandmother, Fern Hale, father and mother-in-law, Gregory and Florence Hale of Downsville, Brian Hale of East Branch, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Jerry. Brown on March 5, 2017 and his grandmother, Joyce Gould on December 11, 2006.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. Arrangements are under the direction of Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
