Michael Hickey, 65 of Sidney passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.

Michael was born on September 27, 1957 in Binghamton, NY. His father, Gerald Hickey passed away in 1996.

Michael is survived by his mother, Joyce Hickey Knepper and his sisters, Marcene (David) Depew, Michelle (Richard) Green and Mary Beth Wells (Michael De Falco).

Michael's family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for him, especially the staff at Broome Developmental and all related agencies. Michael spent 24 years living with Elissa Volkes and her family in Franklin, NY. We know that he was loved by all. Michael enjoyed spending time with his friends and listening to music.

A graveside service will be held at Hawleyton Cemetery, Binghamton NY on Monday April 24th at 11am with Michael's cousin, Lay Minister, Judy Zurenda officiating.
