Michael John Lacey, 52, a lifelong resident of Downsville and later Walton, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 18, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City.

Mike was born on September 15, 1961 in Walton, the son of the late Lewis and Virginia Rae (D'Addezio) Lacey.

Mike graduated from Downsville Central School the Class of 1980. He was a long time member of the Downsville Boy Scout Troop. He went to BOCES for Small Engine Repair. He was a Self Employed Stone Cutter in Downsville, for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting with the Campbell Brook Hunting Club, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, camping, just about anything to do with being outdoors.

Mike is survived by his loving family, his son, Michael J. Lacey, his brothers, Shane (Jean) Lacey of Downsville; Kevin W. Lacey of Walton; his niece, Alicia and Paul Ryder of Roscoe; his nephew, Christopher Lacey of Downsville; great-niece and great-nephew, Kelsey and Brenden Ryder; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 11 AM to 1PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. R.L. Donahue, officiating. Burial will be in the Paige Cemetery in the Spring.
