It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael R. McAdams, 69, a beloved husband, father, and devoted public servant. Michael was born on March 12, 1956, in Margaretville, NY, and it is with great sadness that we share he left us on February 19, 2026.

Michael will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his work as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Andes. His commitment to serving his community, coupled with his friendly demeanor and generous spirit, left a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sandra McAdams, his children; Brittany (Paul) Benjamin, Kimberly (Jesse) Tosi, and Nicole (Rob) Sajdak, his grandchildren; Parker, Nova, Nathaniel, Sebastian, Skyler, Gavin, Gabby, and Jayden, his siblings Patty (Gene) Kelly, Sharon Becker, and Bonnie (Jim) Hamm, step-brother Brad McAdams and step-brother Scott McAdams and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Michael was predeceased by his mother Anna Moore, father Herbert McAdams, sister Annie Soules, brother Billy McAdams, sister Katie Horth, brother-in-law David Heannings, brother-in-law Michael Becker, and nephews Kenny Horth and Garrett Wager.

The service for Michael will be held Friday March 6, 2026 at 6pm, at the Andes Presbyterian Church located at 70 Delaware Ave, Andes, NY 13731.

We invite all those whose lives were touched by Michael to join us in honoring his legacy and sharing memories together.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Michael not just for his role in the community, but for his warmth, kindness, and the love he brought into the lives of those around him. Rest in peace, dear Michael; you will be greatly missed.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to the Andes Volunteer Emergency Squad.
