Michael A. Smith, 58, of Walton passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.

Mikey was born on January 23, 1964 in Middletown, NY the son of the late Richard and Marion (Lewis) Smith.

Mikey loved to tinker on anything Ethan decided he wanted to tear apart. He loved to build his niece Marilyn all kind of projects including a huge chicken coop. He loved spending time with his brother Henry (yelling at him to quit smoking) and his great great niece Audrey (his little Princess). Whenever there was a project he always had a part in it. He was Marilyn's right hand in anything she did. He enjoyed having BBQ's and bonfires, fishing with the family and spending time together.

Mikey is survived by his niece, Marilyn Copeland (Barry Stark) of Walton and her children, James and Meghan, Allison, Tonia, Dustin, Garrett, Ethan, and Great Nephew, Marco and great great niece, Audrey. Also survived by, his 2 sisters, Maryjean Possemato and Melora Fitch, his 2 brothers, Henry who lost his best friend and Samuel Smith, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, great great nieces, nephews and many friend who considered him family. He was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters, Audrey Smith, Linda Fitch, Verna Fitch, and Margaret Smith and several family members who loved him dearly.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 3PM-5PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10AM at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton.
