Mildred Alice Iorio, 96, of Walton passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Delaware Valley Hospital.

Mildred was born August 30, 1922 in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Joseph and Bella (Triano) Gioioso. On February 24, 1946 she married Peter Iorio in Queen, NY. He died on July 30, 2014.

Mildred worked in Sales for BSL International in Howard Beach, NY. She enjoyed playing BINGO, painting pictures, sewing, and loved to dance.

Mildred is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Alice Pliauplis of Walton, granddaughter, Sara, foster daughter, Maureen Becker, nephews, Carmine and Joe Vitale, sister in law and brother, Frank and Doris Joicy. She was predeceased by her son in law, George Pliauplis on June 27, 2016.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 11AM to 12 noon at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where a Prayer Service will be held at 12 noon with Rev. Edward J. Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
