Milton E. Fitch, 65, of Walton passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.

Born May 6, 1955, in Walton, he was a son of the late Ebenezer and Joyce Wood Fitch.

Milton was born and raised on Bobs Brook Road, working on his parents Diary Farm for many years. He worked his whole life to provide for his family, starting at the East Branch Foundry, was a laborer for S.J. Bailey & Sons, long time delivery driver for Bern Furniture, managed Aiello's Shake Shop and finally retired from Big M in Walton as the Dairy Manager. Milton loved spending time with his beloved children, grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include his wife Melora M. Fitch of Walton; children Tammy VanDyke (Snapper) of Franklin, Wayne Fitch (Juli) of Chenango Forks, Debra Turner (Jim) of Clifton Springs, NY and Scott Fitch of Walton; brother Ken Fitch of Walton; grandchildren Morgan, Miranda, Kenzie, Tyler, Keagan, Brandon, Jaelin, Nate, Megan, Lyndsey, Andy and Nevaeh and great grandchildren Blake, Jade, Memphis, Kenleigh, Oakley and Ava. Milton is predeceased by his first wife and soulmate Verna Fitch who passed away on October 10, 2015; brother Eben "Butch" Fitch and his sister in law Linda Fitch.

Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 5-7 P.M. at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A graveside service to celebrate Milton's life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 1 P.M. at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with Bert More Officiating. Social distancing guidelines must be met, and face masks are required.
