Nadine L. "Deany" Hoyt, 67, passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 10, 2006, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, after a brave battle with cancer.
Deany was a lifetime resident of Walton. She was born April 18, 1939, daughter of Alice A. and Earl Neice.
Deany was a housewife, who was also employed at Scott Machine Development Corporation for 12 years.
She was an avid bowler and camper, and enjoyed the outdoors. Deany especially enjoyed trips to the Amish country in Pennsylvania and to Rhode Island. Her bright spirit and spunk were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Deany's mother, Alice Neice, survives her (residing at Countryside Care Center in Delhi); as does Deany's loving husband of 48 years, William R. Hoyt; and their four children, Terri Fletcher and her husband, Rolyn of Walton, Vicky Hornbeck and her husband, Ronald of Sidney Center, Brenda Ellis and her husband, James of Delhi, and William Hoyt Jr. and his wife, Terri of Walton; grandchildren, Kirk and Camiel Fletcher, Shea and Dylan Hornbeck, Garrett and Collin Ellis, Carlee and Kendra Hoyt; one brother, James Neice and his wife, Barbara; and one sister, Sharon Underwood and her husband, Larry also survive.
Deany was predeceased by her father, Earl Neice; and two brothers, LeRoy Neice (Faye) and Howard Neice (LuAnn).
Deany loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend St. Walton where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice, officiating.
