IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy N.
Bogan
March 30, 1964 – September 3, 2011
Nancy N. Bogan, 47, of Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, following a long illness.
Nancy was born on March 30, 1964 in New Hartford, the daughter of Terrence and Doris (White) Nicholson. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, St. John Fisher College and Albany Law School. She was employed at the law firm of Thorn and Gershon, Albany before retiring due to illness. On August 7, 1993 she married Jerome Bogan at St. Barbara's Chapel, Caroga Lake.
Nancy was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Amsterdam, the Amsterdam PTA, a supporter of the American Cancer Society and the Susan B. Komen for the Cure.
Nancy was passionate with everything she believed in and did. She was a "super" mom, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Caroga, always thinking of new ways to make camp a little better. That was how she approached life, always trying to make things a little better for everyone else.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Jerry, her son and pride and joy, Ben, her parents, Terry and Dori, her brothers, Stephen (Tori Lapointe) Nicholson of Plattsburgh, NY, John Nicholson of Utica, Brother & Sisters In-law, Tom (Debbie) Bogan of Hamilton; John Bogan of Clinton; Patrice Bogan of Utica; Elizabeth (Dave) Eaton of Cleveland, OH; Jim (Heather) Bogan of Chapel Hill, NC; Roberto Belmonte of Feurabush, NY. Nancy was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Mary De Belmonte earlier this year.
Friends and relatives are invited to call from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Annunciation Parish, 7616 East South St., Clark Mills, NY.
Nancy's family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
