Olive G. Haynes 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Bridgewater Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness.

Olive was born on May 2, 1926 the daughter of the late William A. and Gladys (Shellman) Eastwood. On August 26, 1945 she married Clifton Haynes in Walton, New York.

Olive worked at the Walton Bakery then at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton in the Dietary Department before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and crocheting.

Olive is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Richard) DeRose, granddaughters, Andrea (David) Scheuerman, Heather (Brian) Dumka and Kimberly (Charles) Smith, great grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, Julia, Joshua, Braxton, and Gwenykka, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton, her daughter, Julia "Judi" Bishop, and her sister, Georgianna (Card) Wakeman.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery, Walton.
