Orea J. "Jerry" Brown, 74, of Walton, passed away early Sunday morning, March 5, 2017 at home, surrounded with his family.

Jerry was born on August 21, 1942 in Guilford, NY the son of the late Robert O. and Joyce (Howe)(Gould) Brown. On November 9, 1968 he married the former Thelma Tweedie in Walton.

Jerry worked as a Production Set Up man for Del-Met in Walton. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing in Delaware County, going fishing in Pulaski, or just going fishing. He also enjoyed just taking a ride in the car to anywhere the road led him.

Jerry is survived by his loving family, his wife Thelma, his sons, Michael (Wendy) Brown of Walton, NY; Daniel (Angela) Brown of Wakefield, VA; his granddaughter, Nicole, sister in law, Arvella Goodrich of Walton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Brown.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
