Patricia A. Closs, 68, a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away early Friday morning, February 21, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Tonia in Franklin.

Pat was born on January 12, 1946 in Walton, is the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Bowker) Barnhart. She married Leonard I. Closs on July 5, 1965 in Walton. He predeceased her on March 3, 2004.

Pat worked as a Cook at the Short Stop Café in Frasier. She volunteered for DVH, Walton Little League Booster Club, and Pee Wee Football. Pat loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing BINGO.

Pat is survived by her loving family, her mother Dottie of Walton; her children, Deniece A.(Ron Wayman) Closs of Franklin, NY, Loretta (Randy) Stone of Walton, NY, Tonia (Rob Degraw) Boecke of Franklin, NY, Sonia (Steve) Armstrong of Walton, NY; Tim Bowker of Walton, NY; her grandchildren, Amber (Chris), Cody (Kourtney), Dalton, Ryder, Charlie, Derek, Dustin, Kevin (Jacki), Angel, Garrett, Katie, her great grandchildren, Nakiesha, Jaionna, Javontae, Malakai, Josiah, Carson, Kenzley, her brother, Randi (Donna) Barnhart of Downsville, NY; her brother and sisters in law, Raymond Closs of CA; William (Donna) Closs of Chicago, IL; Arthur (Jean) Closs of Montana; Randy (Val) Closs of Whitney Point, NY; her special friends, Bill and Grace Gilbertson, Kathy Shelton all of Walton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Closs, her brother and sister in law, Wayne Closs and Zerola Campfield .

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 6 to 8PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11AM with the Rev. Jay O'Connor, officiating.
