Patricia J. Elderkin, 83, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Delaware Valley Hospital following a brief illness.

Born August 19, 1937 in Coventryville, NY, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Ives Barnhardt.

Patricia and her husband Herbert owned and operated a dairy farm in Franklin for many years. After selling the farm, Pat and Herbert moved to Walton where Pat managed an apartment building for many years. Pat also worked as a Teachers Assistant for BOCES in Walton, a Packer for Breakstone's and most recently as a Home Health Aide. When Pat wasn't working she loved to garden, cook and bake. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years Herbert S. Elderkin whom she married on June 30, 1956; children Kathleen Neice (Chris) of Walton and Stephen Elderkin of Binghamton; Brother Donald Barnhardt (Cathy) of Sidney; sister-in-law Carol Barnhardt of Sidney; granddaughter Sally Neice-Pritchard (Vincent) of Walton and great grandchildren Evelynn and Christopher Pritchard. Besides her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her Brother James Barnhardt and Sister Phylis Cooper.

Services for Patricia will be private at the convenience of the family. A graveside service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held at Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.
