Patricia M. Laidlaw, 78 of Walton, NY, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 2009 in the Fox Hospital Nursing Home, Oneonta, after a long illness.

Pat was born in Brooklyn on October 30, 1930 the daughter of the late Harold "Jeff" and Margaret (Fallon) Hoerning. On June 24, 1950 she married John E. "Jack" Laidlaw in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Delhi. He died on November 20, 2008.

Pat was a homemaker who enjoyed "raising kids", history and reading. She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Walton and the Catholic Daughters.

Pat is survived by three daughters, Susan Doig of Downsville, Mary Laidlaw of Florida, Kathryn (Timothy) Beyrer of Hackettstown, NJ; four sons, John E. (Yung-Ji) Laidlaw II of Athens, Pennsylvania; Patrick (Alex) Laidlaw of Ft. Monroe, Virginia; Michael Laidlaw of Binghamton; and William Laidlaw of Rochester; grandsons, John E. Laidlaw III, Scott Laidlaw, David Doig; Christopher Doig, Carmine Ramazio, granddaughters, Kelly Laidlaw, Patricia K. Laidlaw, LuzAmelia Laidlaw, great-granddaughters, Grace, Nora, Isla, sister in laws, Kathryn Chantry, Elizabeth McNulty, several nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Harold Hoerning Jr., and Gerald Hoerning.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Benton Ave., Walton on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00AM. Burial will take place in Hamden Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a reception at Danny's Restaurant, Gardener Place, Walton, immediatly following the services at the cemetery.
