Obituary

Patricia Anne (Puffer) Miner, 74 from Wylie and Walton, went to be with the Lord at 8:20PM on October 9, 2015. She was born on May 18, 1941 in Walton, NY to Lottie Erma (Scott) Puffer and Harold Henry Puffer, On September 9, 1961, Patricia became the devoted wife and partner of Ernest Allen Miner.

She had a full life of love laughter and friendship. Patricia is survived by her husband E. Allen Miner of Wylie, TX, and her three children, Daniel Gerald Miner and his wife Mary of Austin, TX; Nancy Estelle Miner of Rochester, NY and Timothy Allen Miner of Round Rock, TX. She is also survived by two granddaughters Christa Anne Miner of San Antonio, TX and Melissa Elaine Miner of Frisco, TX. On July 14, 1964 she was pre-deceased by twin daughters Kathryn and Kristine. She is pre-deaeased by her mother and father and her brother Gerald Harold Puffer who went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2001.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She graduated from Delhi Tech with a degree in Food Service Administration and worked for years as a manager of the Cafeteria at Gidney Avenue School in Newberg, NY. She then took years off to be a stay at home mom to her 3 children.

She enjoyed many hobbies including various types of crafting, Pat was a very dedicated woman, when she was passionate about a hobby, she went all in. Through the years, she enjoyed many different creative outlets, including but not limited to rubber stamping, calligraphy, card making, needle point, leather craft, hooked rugs, knitting, crocheting and much more.

She also enjoyed being a licensed amateur radio operator. Patricia and her husband spent years listening and talking on the radios; She helped assist the City of Wylie by storm watching for the National Weather Service.

Although Allen likes to think he was, the Lord was the most important man in Patricia's life. She was very involved in church and had a very strong relationship with the Lord. Both her and Allen were active in the Wylie and Rockwall, First United Methodist Churches. Her second family was her church friends and some of her best days were spent with them.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday evening, October 16, 2015 from 6 to 8PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 12 Noon with Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton next to her mother, Lottie.
