It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Prentice who died unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center. Affectionately known as Patty, age 71, of Walton, NY. Born on October 6, 1954, in Binghamton, NY, Patty left us on March 28, 2026. She was a bright light in the lives of so many and will be dearly missed.
Patty graduated from Franklin Central School in 1972 before earning her associate’s degree from Delhi College. She spent her career as a set-up worker for Bard-Parker in Hancock, NY, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
Beyond her career, Patty loved life and embraced the great outdoors. She found joy in cross-country skiing, canoeing, four-wheeling, and camping. Her creative side shone through in her woodworking projects, and her love for reading provided her with countless adventures.
Patty is survived by her sisters, Karen Prentice and Melissa Prentice, her brother Lee Prentice, and her lifelong Partner Linda Brundege. Patty is also survived by special friends Joe and Jenny Brunner, Jack and Dawn Whiteside, and the gang on the compound.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Carol Prentice.
Patty was surrounded by friends and family who cherished her spirit and kindness. She lived life fully and inspired those around her to do the same.
In honor of Patty's love for the outdoors, we encourage all who knew her to take a moment to enjoy nature and remember her adventurous spirit. She will forever remain in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
