Paul L. Endress, 78 years old, a life-long area resident of Hopewell Junction, died Monday, October 13, 2008 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, NY. He was born January 21, 1930 in Wappingers Falls and was the son of the late Ludwig and Gertrude Mash Endress.

Paul was self-employed as a carpenter and had formerly been the superintendent of the Fishkill Rural Cemetery. He was a member of Greenhaven Fish and Game Club Association.

He was the husband of the late Barbara Olmstead Endress, who died on September 9, 1999. Paul is survived by his beloved children, four sons, Paul Endress and his wife, Nancy, of Walton, NY, Jeffrey Endress of Wappingers Falls, Timothy Endress and his wife, Lynette, of Freehold, NY; Kenneth Jones and his wife, Janie, of Sarasota, FL and two daughters, Vicki Hughes of Poughkeepsie and Kyleen Bennet and her husband, Ron, of Panama. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, James, Cynthia, Daniel, Ryan, Cody, Tyler and Josh and two great-grandchildren, Jaime and Camden; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harry Shaw, Walter Shaw and Robert Endress and two sisters, Edith Schaffer and Gertrude Civita.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 16th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 900 Rt. 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be no services and interment will be private.
