Ralph T. Traynham, 90, of Walton passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown.

Ralph was born on June 14, 1925 in Hickory Tavern, South Carolina; the son of the late Cote and Grace Mundy Traynham. He married the former Ruth Bartlett Richardson on June 17, 2000 in Walton. He proudly served his country during WW II in the US Navy. He worked for many years constructing many schools and hospitals as a bricklayer for G. E. Moore Construction Co.. He enjoyed taking care of his home, playing guitar in various bands, dancing with Ruth and spending time with his family.

Ralph is survived by his loving family, his wife Ruth, his children, Deborah and Lynn Tietjen, Walton; sons, Dennis Richardson, Walton; and David Richardson, PA; grandchildren, Tricia and Rob, Tiffany and Branden, Jennifer, Matthew and Nathan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mabel.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton, NY with Rev. Bert More, officiating with full military honors. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
