Obituary

Ramon E. Oralls, 73 of Mormon Hollow, Walton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, February 2, 2008 in the Delaware Valley Hospital.

Ramon was born in Walton on November 6, 1934, the son of the late Marvin E. and Alice Marie (Easson) Oralls. He was a graduate of Deposit High School.He also served his country in the US Army. On July 15, 1958 he married the former Evelyn Corgan at Greene. He was a faithful member of the East Branch Community Church.

Ramon was self employed for many years as an excavation contractor in the Walton Area. He loved Caterpillar Equipment who was an "overgrown kid pushing dirt" with his bulldozer. He also loved watching trains, often jumping out of the car before it stopped, just to get a picture of one going by. He also enjoyed going to Steamtown in Scranton, where he was fascinated by all the locomotives and the train shops, which are recreated there. But most of all Ramon was a family man who loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, who passed on the legacy of loving the Lord, and working hard.

Ramon is survived by his loving family, his wife, Evelyn, son, Tim (Brenda) Oralls, daughter, Karen (Bill) Eckhardt, both of Walton; 3 grandchildren, Ramon, Jordan, and Devin, one great grandchild, born on February 1, 2008, sister in laws, Elsa Houck, Amy Corgan, both of Walton; Grace Oralls, Hancock; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Don and Harold Oralls.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the East Branch Community Church. Interment will be in the family plot in Mormon Hollow Cemetery., in the spring.
