Rebecca Rose DeMann, 81, formerly of Walton passed away on Monday evening, December 21, 2015 at Robinson Terrace, following a long illness.

Rebecca was born July 13, 1934 in Long Eddy, the daughter of the late William Henry and Ida Dyer (Bishop) Banks. On September 8, 1951 she married Thomas L. DeMann. He predeceased her on September 14, 2015.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, going for car rides, eating at Brook's BBQ in Oneonta, reading, doing needlepoint and fishing.

Rebecca is survived by her loving family, her children, Bonnie Brown of FL; Ida "Mickey" (Victor) Fitch of Sidney, NY; Thomas (Fran) DeMann, Jr. of Walton, NY; Anna DeMann of Bainbridge, NY; Rebecca Pearce of Walton, NY; grandchildren, Robert (Michelle) Brown, Shelly (Jason) Thompson, Raven Hurd, Michael McCall, great grandchildren, Adrianna, Anthony, Makayla, McKenzie, Christian, Sabastian, Kaitlyn, Duncan, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son in laws, Robert Brown, John Pearce and her brother, William Banks, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. Burial to follow in the Walton Cemetery.
