Obituary

Reginald Koda, 60, of Walton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton.

He was born December 16, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Edward and Mary Agnes (Banden) Koda.

Reggie moved to Walton in 1990 from Cobleskill.

Reginald was a natural born entertainer coming from a long line of performers, including his mother the was a Rockette. He was a professional percussionist, performing with serveral bands over the years, including performing for our troops with the USO.

In Walton he had worked as a cleaning man for Alice's Attic until illness forced him to retire. He was an active member in the Creekside Social Club. He loved spending time with his companion, Diane, often enjoying dinner together.

He is survived by his son, Gene (Joann) Koda of Islip, NY; a grandson, Josh Koda of Islip, a sister Diane (Bob) Lang of Esperance; and his companion, Diane Fehsal of Walton.

Friends are invited to call on the family from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday morning, July 15 at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17-25 Benton Avenue, Walton, with Rev. Dennis Murphy, celebrating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
