Richard E. Bartlett, age 82, of Unadilla, formerly of Walton, passed away Friday morning, November 4, 2016 at home, following a short illness.

Dick was born on July 20, 1934 in the town of Sidney, the son of the late George and Marion (Charles) Bartlett. He married to the former Martha Goodrich on April 9, 1955 at the Methodist Parsonage. He was employed for many years in Walton, at Breakstones and later at NYSDOT. He was a member of the CSEA.

He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving family. His wife, Martha, his children, Jeffrey and Karla Bartlett, North Carolina; Mitch and Kim Bartlett, Walton; Carolyn and David Heannings , Unadilla; grandchildren, Christy, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Dylan, Wade, Matthew, Corey, Ryan, Scott, Theresa, Wesley, Chris, Zachary, Kari, Kipp and Tony..Also 17 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, brother John E. Mason, San Antonio, TX, sister Marion Mullins, Hazard, Kentucky.. Several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 11AM to 1PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where service will be held at 1PM with Pastor Robert Wilkie, officiating.

Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery. Following the service at the cemetery the family will be gathering at the Walton Fire House for a luncheon.
