Home at last with Jesus, Richard S. Jones, 87, of Walton went Home on Friday, March 11, 2022 at A.O. Fox Hospital Nursing Home in Oneonta, following a long illness.

Dick was born on July 14, 1934 in Walton, the son of the late Sheldon and Florence Borden Jones. He was a graduate of Walton High School, class of 1951. Dick proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked as manager for many years in the Produce department in Big M, A&P, and Great American.

He was a member of the Riverside Alliance Church where he served as an Elder, was a Sunday School teacher, and went to Wednesday night prayer meetings. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his kids.

Richard is survived by his loving family, grandchildren, Erik, Levi, and Rachel Jones, many nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by his sons, Rodney and Timothy Jones, sisters, Elizabeth Sulger, Frances Segarra, and Linda Tines.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM at the Riverside Alliance Church where services will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Larry Light, officiating.
