Richard A. Seaman, Jr., 60, of Trout Creek lost his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday June 15, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Rich was born July 16, 1963 to Jean Fairchild and Richard A. Seaman,Sr.

Rich served for 37 years with the Trout Creek Fire Department and EMS. There was nothing that made him happier than his family and saving the community he grew up in.

His greatest achievement was to put a smile on the faces of everyone he encountered. He had a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. He could never be serious even in a serious situation. Rich was a loyal friend to many. His pride and joy were his kids and grandkids. He was the best Dad and Papa anyone could ask for.

Rich devoted his career to T.C. Sports in Trout Creek for 38 years as a Certified Polaris Technician. He was an avid hunter and took great joy teaching his kids and grandkids and others the art of hunting and living off the land.

Rich was predeceased by his mother Jean Seaman, father Richard Seaman,Sr, his twin brother and sister Robert and Barbara Seaman, his son Kyle A. Seaman, grandson Ryder A. Seaman and his loving wife of 39 years Vicky L. Seaman.

Rich is survived by his daughters, Chassidy L. Gray (Rodney), Brandy L. McGlashon (Patrick), Pamela J. Scofield (Cody) as well as grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Maddisen, Hailee ,MaKenna , Peyton , Anna ,LeLand, and Lilly, his brother and sisters Jerry Seaman and Christine Cutting and Penny Seaman as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rich was so loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday June 18, 2024 at Trout Creek Fire Department 8695 County Route 27 Trout Creek , NY 13839. Burial will be private in Walton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-7 PM immediately preceding the service.
