Richard Robert Tyler ("Dick"), 83, of Deposit, New York, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at Binghamton General Hospital.

Dick was born on June 25, 1942, in Delhi, NY, to Robert and Florence Tyler. He attended Downsville School District and worked as a truck driver for Breakstones/Kraft of Walton, NY for 32 years.

Dick enjoyed attending the Walton Fair and meeting the guys for morning coffee. He was always willing to lend a helping hand on the Gould farm and was known for his hardworking nature and friendly spirit.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Tyler of 52 years; his children, David (Jessica) Tyler of Carthage, Mike Tyler (Jeannine Taggert) of Deposit, Tina Tyler (Aaron Hill) of Washington State, and Ann (Shane) Lester of Deposit; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew Tyler, Bethann Tyler, Matalyn Tyler, Averie Lester, Teagun Lester, Mason Tyler, Malaki Tyler, and Easton Tyler. He is also survived by his brother, Lester Tyler of Milford, New York.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence Tyler, and his brother, Gordon Tyler.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.

Dick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
