Ricky L. Zimmerman, 53 of Walton, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Ricky was born in Teaneck, NJ, on March 30, 1955 the son of the late Harold and Barbara Scudder Zimmerman. As a young child he and his family moved to Walton. He was a graduate of Walton High School class of 1973. He married the former Kellie Murphy on March 8, 2008 at their home. He was employed by Northeast Fabricators, Walton.

Ricky was an all around good guy who was tough and strong willed throughout his struggle these last 2 ½ years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and golf. But most of all he was a great dad and husband, always looking out for his family.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Kellie, two daughters: Crystal Zimmerman of Walton, NY, Lindsey Contello of Bath, two sons, Ricky Zimmerman of Hobart, NY, Eric Zimmerman of Walton, 3 grandchildren, Keilie, Gabby, and Natalie; one sister: Debra (Brian) Neale, Walton; two brothers: Wayne (Michelle) Zimmerman of Maryland, NY; Tim Zimmerman of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, special friends of the family, Morgan Krom, Walton, Crystal Bevins, Morris; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the New Hope Community Church, Stockton Ave., Walton with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. There are no calling hours.
