Robert E. Blything, 86, of Cornwall passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia.

Born on August 22, 1935 in Hudson, New York, he was the son of the late Earl and Gertrude (Patterson) Blything.

After high school, Robert went on to Hartwick College where he received his Bachelor's degree in Economics in 1957. Following college he enlisted in the United States Army where he served with the 3rd Medical Battalion and the 3rd Infantry Battalion. In his younger years, he was very involved in tennis. His skills earned him several trophies over the years. Robert loved hiking, flying stunt kites and birds. In fact, he was a member of the Mearns Bird Club in Cornwall.

Survivors include his close friend of 40 years, Anabelle Bohlmann.

Burial will take place at Walton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
