Rolyn D. Sanford, 72, of Walton passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his family, on Monday morning, February 16, 2015 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton.

Rolyn was born on May 20, 1942 the son of the late Reed and Evelyn (McDonald) Sanford. On July 11, 1987 he married the former Patricia Palmer.

Rolyn was a Self Employed Dairy Farmer in Walton, operating the family farm, Locust Lane. He was a member of the Walton Pistol Club, Farm Bureau, Stanford Farmers Coop and the New Hope Community Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time outdoors, fishing, trapping, and going on hunting trips.

Rolyn is survived by his loving family, his wife, Patricia, his children, Kevin Sanford of Franklin, NY; Scott (Heather) Sanford of Walton, NY; Angie (Shawn) Felter of Fishs Eddy, NY; Sara Palmer, his grandchildren, Jacob, Katie, Hannah, Benjamin, Seth, Zachary, Madison, Sydney, his sister, Claire, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Elton, and Glen.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton where services will follow at 12 Noon with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
