Obituary

Ronald A. Condon, 77, of Walton passed away on Tuesday, February 03, 2015 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, following a long illness.

Ron was born on May 9, 1937 the son of the late Ralph and Jennie (Love) Condon. On December 2, 1961 he married the former Nancy Marsico at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Walton, NY.

Ronald worked hard his whole life. He was employed by Bendix in Sidney, Agway Farm Store in Walton, he owned and operated RC Plumbing Supply store in Walton, and drove school bus for the Walton Central School district for 30 years. In addition to his plumbing skills and other odd jobs, Ronald could be found hanging chain link fences and installing carpet throughout the area.

Ronald's interests included traveling back and forth to Myrtle Beach, where he and his wife would winter. He avidly collected gas station memorabilia and had acquired a garge full of license plates and petroleum collectables. For many years, Ronald found joy raising ducks and chickens in his backyard. He was a member of the National Gaurd, Walton Fire Department, Saint John the Babtist Catholic Church, and Walton Historical Society, were he served as Vice President. On bright sunny days he could be found cruising with the top down on his Thunderbird with the Walton Cruisers.

Ronald is survived by his loving family, his wife, Nancy, his children, Michael (Margaret) Condon, Stephen (Julie) Condon, Deborah (Robert) Babcock, Tom (Melissa) Condon, Joe (Chrissy) Condon all of Walton, his grandchildren, Meaghan, Brandon, Emma, Owen, Jessica, Kolt, Anna, Sarah, Amanda, Christopher, Jordan, Morgan, his Kitty Cat, Blackie, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held on 11 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Father Edward J. Golding, Celebrant.
