Ronald J. Pruestel, 51, of Delhi, formerly of Walton, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 23, 2010 at his home.

He was born on July 29, 1959 in Passaic, NJ, the son of the late Fred J. and Lorraine Stollar Pruestel.

Mr. Pruestel was a graduate of Passaic High School, Passaic, NJ. He moved from Lodi, NJ to Delaware County in 2001.

Ronald was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and all that nature had to offer. He was also a real people person, he really enjoyed making friends and talking with everyone he met.

He is survived by 3 children; one brother: Kenneth (Debra) Pruestel of South Carolina; sisters: Terry (Brian) Schuppel of Walton, JoAnn (Mark) Bianchi of Elmwood Park, NJ and Lorraine Andrejcsak of Franklin Lakes, NJ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his brother, Richard Pruestel and his sister, Patricia Pruestel.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton with the Rev. Dennis Murphy officiating. Friends and family are invited to call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
