Russell Kenyon Campfield, 76, of Walton passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Russell was born on January 31, 1940 in Endicott, son of the late Arthur and Hilda (Seymour) Campfield. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. On August 25, 1978 he married the former Shirley Ann Crawford. She predeceased him on June 28, 1983.

Russell worked as a Sheet Metal Fabricator at Amphenol in Sidney, for many years. He was a member of Moose Club and Gun Club of Owego. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and visiting with his friends and family.

Russell is survived by his children, Shawn and Ann Campfield of Walton; Sherry Finch of Corning; Juanita Finch of FL; Clifford Finch of Corning; sister, Linda LaDue of Windsor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Don Finch, and brother, Dale Campfield.

A graveside service will be held with full military honors on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 1 PM at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney with Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
