Ruth M. Finkle 81, of Andes passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 19, 2005 at home.

Ruth was born on February 13, 1924 in Pepacton the daughter of the late Floyd and Vera Thompson Ellett. She was a graduate of Downsville Central School, class of 1942.On September 30, 1945 she married Gilbert Finkle in Arena. He died on April 3, 2004.

Ruth attended Cabin Hill Presbyterian Church. She loved to knit and crochet. She was a people person, who loved her family and often went to Cassie's Kitchen for coffee to meet her friends.

Ruth is survived by 3 sons, Darwin and his wife Roxanne Finkle, Dwayne and his wife Jennifer, both of Andes; Darrel Finkle and his friend Carol Sue of Owatonna, MN; 4 grandchildren, Darren, Jerrod, Krista, and Brianne; 4 sisters, Frances Finkle, Andes, Karen Rudick, Downsville, Joyce Murphy, Downsville, and Elda Parks, South Hampton, NJ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeased by 4 brothers, Alvin, Leland, William, and Russell Ellett; 2 sisters, Eva Peck, and Elizabeth Young.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday May 28, 2005, at the Andes Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dan McCollister, officiating. Burial will be in Andes Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.

Memorial contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to either the Andes Presbyterian Church, or the Andes Emergency Squad.
