Samuel W. "Bill" Hunt, 71, of Walton, passed away early Wednesday morning June 20, 2012, at home following a long illness.

Bill was born on June 11, 1941 in Delhi, the son of the late Robert E. and Eleanor (Delahay) Hunt. He was a graduate of Walton High School, class of 1959. He worked for many years first at Bard-Parker, S. J. Bailey's Walton A & P and later as a driver for the Delaware County ARC. He was a member of the Walton Veteran's Club, NRA and the Club Royale Oasis.

Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, target shooting and hanging with his friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Anne M. Crossman of Walton; and two sons: James (Heather) Hunt of Guilford; and Joseph (Diane) O'Donnell of Guilford; one brother: Robert (Pat) Hunt of South Carolina; grandchildren, Connor, Paige, Brittany, Felicia; one great-grandaughter, Sapphira, and several cousins.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
