Sandra C. James, 71, of Sidney Center passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at home.

Sandy was on born July 22, 1941 in Sidney, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Matthews) Cammer.

On June 1, 1968 she married David H. James at the United Presbyterian Church in Walton. He died on November 2, 2007. Sandy was an Account Clerk for Amphenol in Sidney. She was a long time member of Northfield Community Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards with her friends on Friday nights, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Lisa ( Terry) Loveless of Greene; her grandchildren, Aleana Kathryn and Laken James Loveless, her brother, Ronald and Margaret Cammer of Sidney; her sisters, Dawn Smith of Trout Creek; Carolyn Hudy of Port Dickenson; Donna and Brian Rappleyea of Gloversville; brother in law, George Salisbury of California; her sister-in-law, Rosalie James of Oneonta; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister in law, Marcia Salisbury, her brother in law, Winfield James, her sister, Phyllis Mullineaux, her parents, Lloyd and Mary Cammer, her in laws, Aubrey and Evelyn James.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 11AM to 1PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Marv Root, officiating. Burial will follow in the West Delhi Cemetery.
