Sandra D. Moody, 55, of Hamden passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, following a long illness.

Sandra was born on October 19, 1959 in Trenton, NJ., to Maria Aspin. On September 23, 2006 she married Robert Moody. She was a graduate of the New York State College, majoring in counselling.

Sandra was employed by Sullivan County Corrections as a Counselor. She loved her job and was really good at it and was well respected by her co-workers. She enjoyed cooking for a crowd, attending family gatherings, going camping with her family at the East Sidney Dam. She was very active enjoying the great outdoors, going to the beach, camping, boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling, or just enjoying her home with Bob.

Sandra is survived by her loving family, her husband, Bob, her children, Wayne Hancarik of Walton; Donald DeBrock of Walton, Andrew and Jocelyn Moody of Walton; Trevor Moody of Delhi; her grandchildren, Gav'n, Leigha, Garret, Peter, Madalyn, Cedar, mother and father in law, Ann & Paul Moody, Hamden; her brothers and sisters in law, Bill and Patsy Moody of Hamden; Dave Moody of Hamden; Phil and Annmarie Moody of Oneonta; Amy and Lynn Buchanan of South Carolina; her former in laws, Peter and Jen DeBrock of Hamden; her special friends, Jo Ann Lowe, Hamden and Gina White of Absecon, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sandra was predeceased by her mother, Maria Aspin, her sister, Chrissy Aspin, and Donald's father, Pete DeBrock.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday afternoon, April 7, 2015 at 1 PM with Rev Bert More. Burial will be in Hamden Cemetery later in the spring.
