Sandra Serafine who was living in Sidney NY passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon March 1, 2019 after a brief illness at A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta.

Sandra was born on July 8, 1938. the daughter of the late Clayton and Isa (Neff) Houck. She attended school in Walton NY. For many years she was employed as a nurse in the NYS Healthcare and eventually retired. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and baking for various local county fairs where she always had a booth. She also loved and collected cookie jars and salt and pepper shakers. Family members share fond memories of Christmas and family reunions with Sandra.

Sandra is survived by a sister Doris and several nieces and nephews including Merritt Guinane & Corey Cooney, PA; Marcus Saylor, Johnson City; Mikky and John Homan, PA; special nephew Irving Thomson of Walton and also Rick and Joan and Clayton. She was predeceased by her prior husband Anthony Serafine along with her brothers, Clarence, Vincent and Floyd and sisters Marjorie, Betty and Barbara.

A graveside service will be held in Gregorytown Cemetery on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 11:00AM. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral home, Walton.
