It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sara (Sally) E. Zabriskie, a beloved mother, friend, and dedicated caregiver, who left us on August 25, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on July 31, 1950, Sally lived a life full of compassion and service, primarily known for her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Countryside Care Center, now is known as the Delhi Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. In her work, she brought comfort and kindness to countless residents, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She is survived by her children; Dawn & Douglas Hoyt of Sidney Center; Melanie & Michael O'Mara of Unadilla; Shannon Baroody & her partner Shawn Conwell of Rembert, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Amanda, Shane, Ashley, Seth, Savannah and Adam; along with her sister Carol Walters, several sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband John W. Zabriskie, Jr, her brother William McCrum, her niece Sherry Shilling and her nephew Ira Mann.

Sally enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very caring and enjoyed helping others whenever she could. She loved dining out as well as traveling. Sally also enjoyed going to the beach and the many frog keepsakes in her collection.

In keeping with Sally’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
