Sarah E. Davis, 104, of Walton passed away on January 16, 2015 at home.

Sarah was born on April 13, 1910 in Granton, New York the daughter of the late William Beers and Catherine Goodrich. She married Earl Davis in 1943, who died many years ago.

Sarah worked as as midwife, a waitress at Bickford's in Jersey City, on the family farm growing up, and with her sister, Ella owned and operated the Pines Brook Country Store. She enjoyed helping with Church groups, and Meals on Wheels. In her spare time she enjoyed reading a good book.

Sarah is survived by her sister in law, Isabelle Beers of Walton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Orin Beers, Allen Beers, her sisters, Mary Simmons, and Ella Thompson.

A graveside service will be held at the Walton Cemetery on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00AM with Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, Officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
