Scott A. Fitch, 48, of Binghamton passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Bridgewater Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness.

Scott was born on April 29, 1969 in Poughkeepsie, NY son of Allen and Diane (Giuricich) Fitch. When attending high school in Henderson, Nevada he was an active member of the ROTC. He then moved to Long Beach High School, in Long Island where he was a member of the swim team. He graduated in 1987.

Scott lived in Las Vegas for 20 years where he was a Manager for the Steel Engineers. He was a good man who enjoyed telling a good joke or two. Scott enjoyed playing online poker, cooking, BBQ's, watching eagles and was an avid NY Jets football fan. He was also a patriot who loved his country.

Scott is survived by his, mother, Diane, son, Hunter Fitch both of Downsville; sister, Jean Marie Fitch of Downsville; god parents, John and Cathy Bernich of Long Island; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Allen Fitch.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at his mothers, Diane home, 14969 State Hwy 30, Downsville on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1 PM. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
