Scott Douglas MacDonald, 65, of Delhi passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at O' Connor Hospital after a brief illness.

Born August 17, 1953 in Walton, he was the son of the late Douglas and Joyce Carpenter MacDonald.

Scott was a 1971 graduate of Walton High School. He dedicated over 20 years of service to Clark Companies in Delhi where he worked as a CAD Operator, retiring in 2017. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Delhi Post for many years. Scott would always volunteer his time to help the Legion with Bingo, making sure they always had plenty of supplies and coordinating other various activities. He took great pride in his home, especially his lawn and he was known by many to have the "best lawn in Delhi". Scott loved to golf with his friends and family and was known for his famous slow cooked baked beans.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years Suzanne Lurenz MacDonald of Delhi; children Geoffrey MacDonald of Oneonta, Mirranda MacDonald of Walton and their mother Denise Cetta and Richard MacDonald of Brooklyn and his mother Stephanie Palmer and Cameron Mason of Swiftwater, PA; brothers David MacDonald (Andrea) and Thomas MacDonald; grandchildren Madison Graupman, Makara MacGibbon and Makenna MacGibbon and father-in-law Maurice Henry. Scott is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Patrick MacDonald and his mother-in-law Arlene Henry

Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A service to celebrate Scott's life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walton Cemetery, Fancher Avenue.
