Seth D. Smith, 31, of Franklin passed away from a long illness on Sunday, December 8, 2013.

Seth was born on February 9, 1982 in Kingston, the son of Donald and Cynthia Cekala. He enjoyed fishing and dirt biking in his spare time.

Seth is survived by his parents, Cynthia and Donald, his daughter, Sarah Brown of Rhode Island; his brothers, George (Jei) Smith of Provo, Utah; Marshall (Abby) Smith of Denver, CO.; Preston Smith of Franklin, NY; his sisters, Rachel (Brian) Rose of Otego, NY; Rebekah Smith of Oneonta, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Lance Smith.

A memorial service in Rhode Island will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
