Shawn D. Buteau, 31, of Walton passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, November 9, 2017 at home.

Shawn was born on August 30, 1986 in Walton, the son of James Buteau and Lisa Green. Shawn was a hard worker who loved to build things. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed a hand.

Shawn is survived by his loving family, his mother, Lisa Green, Walton his father, James Buteau, Syracuse; girlfriend, Natasha Mason, her children, Austin and Jasmine, brothers, Christopher (Joshua) Blincoe of Oneonta; Jordan Blincoe of Walton; sister, Amanda Blincoe of Walton; grandfather, David R. Buteau Sr., Walton; aunts and uncles, Nancy and Ron Thompson of Walton; Peter Buteau, NYC; Dan and Cindy Buteau of Deposit; Katie Buteau, Messina; Denice Buteau, FL; Charlotte and John Penn of Zephyrhills, FL; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Patricia K. Buteau, Chester and Mabel Green, uncles, Major David R. Burteau Jr., Ron Green, Lawrence Green, and aunt, Margo Markle.

Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.
